Poddington-on-Slossip: Theme

Poddington-on-Slossip is set in that golden period of Britain's history between the world wars. The horse and cart still dominate this part of the countryside, but motors are more frequently making noisy excursions from the towns and cities. Rights for women are discussed politely, rather than whispered about, and even Magnusson College, the provincial college between Poddington and Tewiff, has been admitting women to its programs for over a decade. There may be even one or two of those new-fangled 'flappers' visiting the countryside now and then.
